Brian Corrado received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Washington, DC.
Dr. Corrado completed his pre-doctoral Internship at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He has worked in a variety of treatment settings including the Psychiatric Institute of Washington (PIW) and The Center for Mental Health in Washington, DC, Chestnut Lodge Hospital in Rockville, MD, and Mountain Manor Substance Abuse Treatment Center in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Corrado approaches psychotherapy as a way of working collaboratively with each client to generate solutions and build upon strengths. He has a special interest in the use of mindfulness-informed and evidence-based therapies. His approach is active, and he employs cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients to make gains as quickly as possible. In addition to therapy, Dr. Corrado provides testing evaluations that can be used to inform treatment and educational planning. Dr. Corrado has been in practice, providing testing and therapy in Bethesda, MD for several years.
Dr. Corrado is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Maryland Psychological Association, the Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, the Anxiety Disorders Association of America, the Mental Health Association of Montgomery County, the Montgomery/PG County Practicing Psychologists association, the Pro Bono Counseling Project, and Division 42 of the APA: Psychologists in Independent Practice.
