Cari Lee, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Cari Lee earned her Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at VA Maryland Healthcare System, specializing in trauma intervention. Cari then stayed on at the VA as staff, working with Veterans in the comprehensive DBT and PTSD programs. She has completed intensive training in Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
At the Bethesda Group, Cari sees many clients who need help to regulate their emotions and often struggle with problems of self-harm, eating issues, low self-esteem, and conflict in their relationships. Additionally, many of her clients report a history of trauma and regularly find themselves withdrawing from the world around them. Cari understands that it can be hard to acknowledge these problems and ask for help. Her approach to therapy is to meet you where you are on your journey, providing warmth and guidance to help you reach your goals.
Cari also provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for individuals looking to have a better understanding of their mental health diagnoses.
In her free time, Cari enjoys exploring new places, watching movies, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
