Jake Hollander, LCSW-C
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Jake Hollander (he/him) is a Licensed Master Social Worker specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for adolescents and adults. He works with clients navigating emotion dysregulation, suicidality, mood and personality-related symptoms, and substance use challenges. Jake’s approach integrates behavioral skill-building with present-moment awareness, emotion regulation, and values-based action—helping clients strike a balance between acceptance and change. He supports clients in identifying patterns that may limit their potential and empowers them to build on their strengths, solve problems effectively, and lead more meaningful lives.
Jake completed Foundational DBT training through Behavioral Tech and advanced his practice through an ACT Fellowship at the University of Chicago. He draws on clinical experience across inpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient DBT settings, working with both adolescents and adults.
Prior to entering clinical practice, Jake led nonpartisan community advocacy and policy initiatives aimed at empowering communities. This background informs his commitment to meeting clients with compassion, curiosity, and respect for the broader systems impacting their lives. Moreover, this lens gives Jake a unique perspective with which to connect with clients who work in fast-paced and high-stress environments.
He earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, specializing in Behavioral Health with a Clinical concentration. Outside of therapy, Jake enjoys creating music, exploring philosophy, and spending time with his wife and their two dogs.
